The Chateau / Castle is absolutely beautiful. The grounds, the interior and the quality of furniture and linen is outstanding. Such a once in a lifetime experience to stay in such a beautifully tastefully, romantically restored castle. The interior is gorgeous and very beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. We had a wonderful time and were very comfortable during our stay. We were able to make our own food in the kitchen and enjoy the tranquility of the Chateau. The local area has so much to offer, swimming, Roman ruins, food, wine and pleasant towns to explore. Pat is the perfect host. He gave us wonderful information about the local area that we went to. He couldn’t have been more accommodating. He was kind, helpful and friendly.

From the moment we arrived at L’Imperator Maison Albar we knew we had chosen the right hotel for our stay in Nimes. This is an EXCEPTIONAL 5-star hotel and has truly set the benchmark for luxury and hospitality. Every detail of our stay was meticulously catered to, making it a very memorable experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a very warm welcome from GM Romaric Blanvillain. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and we were shown around the beautiful facilities and on to our room by the charming Rievelinio. The hotel combines class, elegance and warmth, with beautiful interior decor and clever use of space and architecture. The pool is heavenly - in fact there are two pools to choose from, an indoor pool next to the spa and an outdoor pool with plenty of sun loungers and peace and quiet. By the pool we were looked after by Quentin with an impressive level of courtesy and efficiency. Breakfast was wonderful (thanks to Natalie and Romane) and served in a calm setting, with the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. What truly sets L’Imperator apart is the exceptional service provided by the team and the way they make guests feel. Many hotels try to be hospitable because that is their job, they are ‘paid to smile’, but the Albar staff are happy to be there and show genuine care for each guest- even remembering guests names when greeting them. Special mention to the Hero’s Pierre and Benjamin, who both went above and beyond in their assistance and care. And the exceptional Fabien (so speedy) Tristan and Frederic, Kaoutar, Doriane, Karla, Clara, Maxime, Imrane, Sabah and Claire. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly exceptional stay. We have already re-booked to stay again…it is worth visiting Nimes just to stay at L’Imperator.

Everything. The location is great, the apartment is extremely well-equipped. We loved the terrace and used the home cinema in the evening which was a great experience with the kids. They also supplied more than a few items such as shampoo, conditioner, snacks for the children, coffee etc

This apartment is truly excellent. It was the best place we stayed in during our entire holiday. Thierry was there to welcome us and helped us negotiate our rental car into the tiny parking space. Then he spent time showing us around. There is a washing machine! So great to be able to wash clothes. There was Netflix - so good because one day was pretty rainy so we watched movies. Wonderfully clean, and cozy with room to move. We would 100% stay here again thanks to the beautiful apartment and graciousness of Thierry our host.

Exceptional establishment with beautiful and elegantly appointed rooms each one decorated with style and charm. The interior and exterior are stunning, photos cannot do it justice as you have to be there to be soaked in the atmosphere of pure indulgence and beauty.
