I was caught in awe by the location of the property for its majestic view of the entire Annapurna range and the Machapuchare peak! One really needn’t go anywhere else in Pokhara if looking to indulge in basking under the sight of the Himalayas! Aside from the view, I found the staff to be very hospitable. The food was exceptionally well prepared with care and the shuttle car is a boon for getting to the lakeside (and back!). I look forward to coming back for a stay with my family someday and taking up that offer for a hike! 😊

I stayed at Hotel Sarowar recently and it hit all the right notes. The rooms are spacious, clean, and actually designed for comfort (yes, the hot showers are real and reliable!). It’s a modern place that doesn’t try too hard but gets the basics right—and then goes a little beyond. What really stood out was the location. You’re close enough to Lakeside to walk to the shops, cafés, and the lake itself, but far enough to get some peace and quiet when you want it. The best of both worlds. Then there’s the rooftop. I happened to go up just after a rainstorm—clouds clearing, fresh air, the Annapurnas starting to peek out again and the majestic city view from that height. It’s the kind of view that makes you stop scrolling and just breathe for a bit. I also appreciated their eco-friendly approach. It’s clear they’ve put thought into sustainability, how they have solar panels all over their roof. It feels good to support a place that’s trying to do better for the environment, not just the guests. Looking at other reviews before booking, I noticed a lot of people talked about the friendly staff—and they were right. Everyone I interacted with was polite and helpful without being overbearing. It feels like they care, not like they're following a script. If you're looking for a place in Pokhara that combines comfort, great views, and a little bit of purpose, Hotel Sarowar is it.
