Luxury Hotels in Banská Štiavnica

It is an exceptional boutique hotel, creatively furnished full of art and historic charm - with very comfortable and spacious room, and also big bathroom. Given the hotel is in the historical building, there is no lift (which was not an issue for us, but just in case it is important for anyone with disabilities or heavy luggage). There is an amazing garden terrace where you can take some rest, read or enjoy the breakfast in case the weather is good. In case you have the room with windows oriented to the street, it may get a little bit loud early in the morning (but again it did not disturb us at all). Also staff is very helpful - they also called us in advance to explain where we can park. Parking is available approx. 10min away (walking) from the hotel, but you can leave your car in front of the hotel for few minutes to unload your luggage. As a bonus, welcome drink was served upon arrival and delicious pralines were awaiting us in the room :)

Clean and comfortable room. I liked that I had a little entryway where I could leave my bag with separate doors off for the bedroom and bathroom. Even though it wasn’t a true apartment (no kitchen) I was still provided with a table, chairs, cutlery, bowls, washing up liquid and a sponge which proved very useful for breakfast. Also, I was able to leave my bag for a few hours after check out before departing in the afternoon, as I seemed to be one of the few visitors to be using buses and not my own car. The location is good, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre, near the Piarg Gate and New Castle and on the road up to the mining museum and Tajch Klinger. Check in details are clear so you can arrive any time really and don’t need to arrange for the owner to be free.

The hosts were fabulous - we were a few minutes late arriving but it wasn't a problem. The property is beautifully presented, with air conditioning, I'm not sure how often it's needed but it was very welcome the day we arrived. There were complimentary fruit and sweet treats, and toiletries we could use in the bathroom. We wished we could have stayed for longer. The area is beautiful - we will definitely come back and explore more.
