The location is great and there is a lovely walk to the famous Loreley viewing point. A car is needed to travel to the property, for food shopping and exploring the wider area: however, St Goarshausen has a train station and there is a limited bus service that stops near the property location.

Excellent location. Good sized rooms and very clean. The restaurant is amazing. Top quality food with a good selection of quality wines and spirits. Breakfast was also above the norm for this class of hotel. Everything fresh. The staff were very friendly with tips about sightseeing in the area. All in all excellent service.

Our senses were overwhelmed by this property! The castle is beautifully maintained, in a stunning location, and hotel director Alexander made us feel welcomed immediately upon our arrival. We loved that they only offer a few guest rooms, giving us the impression we were part of an exclusive club. It was such a pleasure to leisurely explore the different rooms of the castle, each one impeccably furnished and inviting. This is a very unique property and is highly recommended!

Amazing!! An 800 year old castle to stay in with only five rooms rented each night!! For this exclusivity in any other country you’d be looking at least at paying 2-3-4 times the price. Incredible views, outstanding service and unbelievable surroundings!
