The cottage was absolutely fantastic – set in an idyllic woodland location and perfectly suited to us as a couple with our dog. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was a real highlight and made for the most relaxing evenings. Dave and Chrissie were wonderful hosts – thoughtful and welcoming. We had the pleasure of meeting their beautiful spaniel, Leo, who was absolutely adorable! The lovely little touches, like the jar of local honey and the coasters, made it feel even more homely. The location was ideal for us, especially as it was close to friends we were visiting. We also highly recommend Leaf Design just down the road – a great spot for breakfast, with beautiful plants and gifts for sale too. We’d definitely love to stay again in the future!

We opened the door to a warm welcoming ambience. Beautifully decorated throughout for Christmas and mince pies awaiting. The perfect place to celebrate Christmas. Lilac Lodge was exactly as described, but still exceeded our expectations with all that our Hosts had provided to ensure a cosy, relaxing and restful environment. Sadly I forgot to write in the Visitors Book. I would also have liked the opportunity to meet our Hosts, to say a personal thankyou.
