(We slept on the one closer to the living-room. The other room had a harder mattress, which is great for having the possibility to choose what is best for your own taste! The owners left us some cool drinks and homemade cinnamon rolls. It is a very clean and neat property with a nice view on the lake.

Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.
