Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

The stylish living room has a wow factor with its vaulted ceiling, a fireplace and large windows that make it very light and airy. The kitchen has all you need and it is easy to step out onto the back deck where you can sit and enjoy the quiet. With 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds (and extra matresses ) there is no shortage of a place to sleep. The nearby beach and forest is a must visit when you stay here! The host kept in contact with us the whole time and was very helpful and gave us good information about the house.
