The room had beautiful views of the sea. It is within walking distance of nice restaurants. The place is both modern and welcoming. The staff is amazing and the hosts made us feel like family. Breakfast was delicious and we were able to eat it outside while the waves crashed against the rocks nearby.

There were five of us and we were not cramped. On arrival we were met and shown everything. All the staff was friendly and responsive every day: at the end of our stay our cab was unexpectedly canceled and we were helped to call a cab through the hotel, although this was clearly not the responsibility of the receptionist. Thank you to her for this. Very pleased with the location of the room: near two supermarkets, a lot of cafes and literally 2 minutes walk - a beautiful promenade. Convenient. We will definitely come back to Hermanus and stay next time not 4 but 5-7 days. I recommend it to everyone: especially since the hotel helped us with a whale watching tour and we saw them literally at arm's length! It was an endless delight for our 3 kids. Moreover, the next day the whales were literally swimming near the waterfront all day long and we could admire them to the fullest. I recommend to all families this room: quiet, spacious, with friendly staff and everything you need to stay even for 1-2 days, or for a week or more.

A Riverbed Guesthouse in Swellendam has 4-star accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool and barbecue facilities. The property is set less than 1 km from top restaurants, shops and Drostdy Museum. The property is in a really nice neighborhood in the lovely town of Swellendam, with beautiful views of the mountains. The room was spacious, upscale and clean, and the pool was heated and comfortable. There’s a trail along the river behind the property that takes you up the hill for some incredible views. The host Melani was friendly and welcoming. Overall we had a wonderful stay.
