Very central location plenty of restaurants , pubs on the doorstep and all the rooms had a lovelly view of the Tyne . The bed was so soft like sleeping on the clouds lol .Breakfast was really good plenty of choice and very hot . Safe, iron , fridge and tea coffee facilities in the room . Hotel has a large car park £12.50 a day when you register your car with reception . I honestly can't find a single complaint about this hotel .

Good location, welcoming and helpful reception staff, decent sized room with comfortable bed and pillows. Good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Note: The hotel is no longer a Best Western; it was sold in November 2023. The car park now has parking charges for non-residents so remember to enter your car registration number when you check in.

Excellent location on the beach. Free car parking, though car requires registration.

Grounds and location are great. Set in some lovely woodland adjacent to the Race Course with woodland walks accessible from the door. Good car parking but don’t forget to enter your registration in the touch screen system located at reception areas.

The building itself was incredible. The architecture and metal work was beautiful. It made tribute to how it once looked which we thoroughly enjoyed. Everything was easily accessible and decorated stylishly.

Gone down hill a lot since the change from Marriott

Attended an evening event, dinner was very good and the atmosphere of the hotel contributed to a very successful and enjoyable evening.

It offered a kettle facility and a lovely hair dryer. The TV was an acceptable size. The staff at reception were very helpful. The hotel is very centrally located and although it does not have parking, there is an NCP Car Park at 10 mins walk by the City Centre which if you bother to register with the NCP App the prices charges will be very reasonable.

Location great for us as visiting relatives close by. The hotel I’d a high standard hotel as it was branded Marriott. It is becoming a little tired hence, I guess the rebranding to Delta. Clean however and friendly staff.
