Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

Aaron, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating. The property is older and clean. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast had several choices. We love these smaller motels!

What a pleasant overnight stay after a long days drive! Our host was welcoming and informative and gave us the scoop on his retro highway 66 motel in this small town. Our reasonably priced room included everything we needed. We loved the spotless room decorated in New 60's decor, especially the green and pink bathroom! Our funny host made sure that we were comfortable-even waved goodbye! We will stay there again.
There's an old adage you pay for what you get....and this place is it !!!
The lady at the desk didn't seem excited at all to have customer.
WIFI never worked.
Saying a motel is on old Route 66 doesn't mean paint peeling off, musty smells and nothing appealing.
A poor representation of Route 66 history

Older motel lovingly remodeled by the owner. I generally like being able to drive up to my room, rather than park in a lot and walk into a building to get to my room. Room was clean and quiet. The town appears to close up around nine, and there was no traffic to speak of. Breakfast was good, including the normal free hot breakfast items. The rate was very good for the quality.

My husband and I were on the road for 5 weeks driving through Canada, then down the west coast to San Diego and up on Route 66, we stayed in motels every night of the trip, The Shamrock Inn is VERY HIGH on our list of BEST motels we stayed at. We even had a the pleasure of meeting a man named Tye there, he sang us a few songs, told fascinating life stories and is the local "town artist".. The majority of the murals in this town were done by him.. I loved everything about this town..💝
