RSL Club and Bairnsdale Regional Hospital are a 10-minute walk away while the Bairnsdale Railway Station, shops, and town facilities are all within 1 km of the motel. We enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and tidy.

Despite the ongoing downpour (obviously outside your control), we spent a very comfortable 2 days, and managed to stay dry with the exception of our Site visit (also outside our control). As I mentioned to Kate the only problem was that the volume level on the TV could not be increased above a high whisper level. However, as we are more readers than TV watchers this was not a serious problem for us.

Situated in Venus Bay, River Drive Motel has free bikes, garden, terrace, and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Rooms are fitted with a patio.

Guests at River Drive Motel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Venus Bay, like hiking, fishing and cycling. This Motel is a great find. With only 5 rooms it is small but has a great outdoor area with chairs, table, excellent BBQ, firepit and games. There are also bikes to hire and a games shed with helmets, and a great flat path all the way to Venus Bay. The room was lovely - very stylish, nicely decorated and comfortabel. There were also little extras like local milk in the fridge, flowers on the table and linen bathrobes. There is an IGA down the road that is open until 7.00 pm plus a cafe that does breakfast and lunch. I didn't get to try the pub which is nearby. I definitely recommend this Motel for travellers looking for quality, style and a fun experience.
