My wife, Graham, and I visited the Te Mata Lodge while in town for a wedding. From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and relaxed. The parking lot was one to behold, as was the room itself. I promptly ran myself a bubble bath while my wife, Gavin, watched Tik Tok videos on her electric telephone, using the complimentary Wifi provided by our hosts. Highly recommend this lodging for all. I would rate this 20 out of 10 if I could.

Guests enjoy free WiFi access. Location is excellent and is in walking distance to the seafront activities, and close to many food options in the evening. Room was spotless and owners are helpful and friendly.

Omahu Motor Lodge is located opposite Hawke’s Bay Hospital. Several restaurants and cafes are within easy walking distance. The room was spotless and the self catering kitchen had everything we required. The bathroom had a spa bath which was fantastic! We received a lovely welcome and there was an extremely helpful information folder in the room. The air conditioning worked well and was very welcome in the hot conditions. We would have loved to have stayed for more than the one night.

Great place, clean rooms, great location; wish we could have spent more time relaxing there. Nice morning swim.
