The Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord is located one mile west of the motel. They have a deck out back of the property and it was just so peaceful. You looked out and saw beautiful Amish farm land!! They had rockers and chairs to sit and just let your cares fall by the wayside . And I can’t rave enough about the entire staff. They all made you feel welcomed

Tea and coffee-making facilities are also included. it was a charming place, centrally located to everything we wanted to see. we liked that we could park right in front of our room with a marked spot & no stairs for my handicapped husband to try to negotiate. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. The breakfast was fine, enough selections to find something to eat, doughnuts, bagels, fruit, etc. plus the waffles & sausage gravy/biscuits & hot oatmeal, fresh every morning. Fresh coffee available all day was a plus, too. The room was fine, beds comfortable & everything was clean. We would stay there again.

All aboard! Hop on a caboose car at the Red Caboose Motel for a fun and unique overnight stay. All 38 cabooses (19 of which were once part of the Pennsylvania Railroad) are decorated in the paint schemes of America's most famous railroads. Great location. Toy train museum was right out the door of the train car we stayed in, we could see strasburg railroad and watch the steam train from the property, the cherry crest adventure farm was a few minutes away but we were able to watch the fireworks on Saturday night from the steps of our train car. Staff was exceptionally friendly

The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. You feel really welcome and the breakfast is great, all is fresh, the bread is wrapped and the juices are in the original packaging and not in the machine which I really appreciate, because a machine usually has too many germs. The environment is also very good you have several possibilities to eat well.
