Simply the best accomodation I have experienced anywhere! Our stay with Maki, her Mother and Kenta dog was relaxing and magical after a week in Tokyo and Maki does absolutley everything to make you feel welcome and at home with her gentle, warm hospitality, The Ryokan itself is an elegant traditional building and is beautifully kept. The amazing Kaiseki dinner and breakfasts that Makis mother presents every night are a wonderful way to experience traditional japanese food after a relaxing onsen bath. Maki was simply the best host, she even drove us up to the start of our walk trail and booked our lunchtime soba restaurant. The local area is breathtaking even in late autumn / early winter and a walk around the shrines is enough to fill a very pleasant day, Wel ove you Maki and we will be back!

Wonderful place! Very cozy, relaxing with a super nice view of the green mountain. A bus stop is nearby and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious with a wide choice.

This places really only big downfall is the location. Though I will say it would have been easier if we had a car. Other than that the onsens and baths were amazing, it was quite not a whole lot of people were there. It was off season so no breakfast or anything was offered but they did have other things to buy and eat. Onsens were nice and hot and they had a tea soak it was quite nice.

It was very clean and the staff were very nice. They have public onsen as well which was a plus point.

Hospitality of the hosts were on a high level, they offered us the pick up and drop off to the station, they also arranged tea ceremony lead by a local lady. Facility is sparkling clean and peaceful. On top of it, they offer private and shared onsens. We had a great time, we would like to come back and we highly recommend it!

I've been traveling for a long time. After a storm of crappy Airbnbs and mediocre hotels this place was really great. Comfortable, quiet, spotlessly clean with great service and amenities. The staff was superb in accommodating any requests. The Onsen inside is also very nice. I'll be looking for an excuse to come here again.
