I cannot describe how amazing the room with private onsen is. Super spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view to the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (buffet style), enough vegetarian options. There's a free drink bar available for the afternoon/evening hours as well. I didn't use the public bath because they don't allow visible tattoo's though.

The staff were kind, helpful and treated us well during our stay helping us with taxi's to a local shrine and offering us a coffee upon our return. The hotel is easy to get to by bus or taxi. The room gave us a lovely view of snowy mountains and the private room for dining gave us a nice view of the lake. I would recommend staying here and hope to go back at a later date

The owners are the sweetest people who made us feel very welcome. The location is great, close to Lake Tazawa. During our stay the weather was grey and rainy, but the house felt really cosy and warm. Especially after the great meal the owners cooked and a lovely soak in the onsen. 10/10 recommend!

This place is what you get when you give someone a very generous budget and ask them to dream up the most comfortable Ryokan they can think of. The whole place was in tatami mats and it was comfortable to walk about barefoot or with socks. The baths themselves were the best out of all the ryokans that I have tried. They offered a range of different shampoos and soaps, and multiple indoor and outdoor baths - ranging from stone/natural baths to wooden tubs. There is also a sauna and cold bath, and it is here that I discovered the adrenaline rush and relaxation that comes with alternating between a hot sauna and cold bath. There are also privates baths (yes there are two!) that are free for use, unlike other ryokans that charge you for them. There are free treats everywhere - ice pops and milk (my favourite!) at the baths, various snacks and drinks (coffee, various teas, vinegar drink and even beer and shochu!). Then at 10-10.30pm, you can get a bowl of ramen, with the Akita specialty: Fish Shottsuru. Best, most premium and complete bath amenities out of all the ryokans I have visited. They also have well-placed cold water dispenser and places where you can simply sit after your bath to enjoy the view. They also offer a "pillow library" where you can personally compare different types of pillows and choose the ones that you like best! Best facilities out of all the ryokans I've been to (perhaps to make up for the lack of things to do by way of local attractions and how isolated it is). There are traditional Japanese children's games, origami and even a quaint library. Layout of the room is great too - I like that there is a separate "reception" area where you can keep your bags and clothes separate from the main sleeping/living quarters. I also like the little table in front of the window - perfect for a quiet reflection.

十和田湖から27kmのyuzaka - natural & sustainable inn -は鹿角市にある宿泊施設で、庭、無料専用駐車場、共用ラウンジ、レストランを提供しています。このゲストハウスは館内全域での無料WiFi、ホットタブ、共用キッチンを提供しています。 yuzaka - natural & sustainable inn -のお部屋にはそれぞれエアコンと共用バスルームが備わります。... とにかくお洒落。館内用履き物やお風呂に行く用の籠バッグまでお洒落。お洒落なだけじゃなく機能性も◎。布団も寝心地良く、タオルもふっかふかで吸水性が良かったです。館内すべてが清潔。貸切温泉のシステムも良い、アメニティも良い(シャンプーも2種類、どちらも試しましたがどちらも良かった！洗い流さないトリートメントや全身に使える椿オイル、ボディクリームなんかもありました。一階洗面所に歯ブラシもありました)、お茶やコーヒーも10種類ほどあり選ぶ楽しみがありました。オーガニックなものが多かったです。コップ達も可愛かった。共用スペースになりますが、冷蔵庫・冷凍庫があったのも嬉しい。洗面所脇の雑誌達やライブラリーも充実。トイレが共用だったけれど、一階と二階にもあるので人とかぶることもなく気にならなかった。

Our hosts Sayaka & her mother were very kind, welcoming & helpful. Sayaka speaks very good English & was able to help with all our enquiries. The lodge is only a few minutes drive from Tazawako Ski Resort. The meals were wonderful. The traditional tatami style room was extremely comfortable & the Onsen was simply perfect.

There is outdoor onsen with beautiful landscape. The free ramen is delicious but it only available from 9.30-11.30pm. Some other freebies. Walking distance from Akita station and Senshu Park.

Beautiful hotel, beautiful location right across the street from the lake. All rooms have lake views, and the private onsen does as well. Sunsets from the private onsen, sunrises from our room - pure bliss. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. This is one of the places we will return to again!
