Staff is knowledgeable and communicate well in English, with an international line up of front desk staff. Spacious room and I like the wood craft and furniture mix. Not least, adjacent to one of the best hida beef restaurant in Takayama.

I would recommend this stay for anyone who wants close access to Shirakawago. We had our own car, though it seems you could also utilize their shuttle service with some advanced planning.

Location was amazing- walking distance from the station and from the old town. The place was beautiful, and the rooms had everything. Futons were very comfy. The onsen was the best I tried so far (but I haven’t tried a lot). We did the private bath, and it was really nice. They also lend you yukatas to wear around the ryokan. And the staff were very friendly, hospitable and helpful!

Excellent: beautiful location, amazing staff, great service and excellent facilities. Definitely our best stay in Japan. No low prices, but certainly worth it!

The staff is really great and the treatment is beyond excellent. They were always amazing and make sure we had a great time. The hotel is really beautiful and you get to sleep in a real Japanese ryokan

The rooms were comfortable, and the very quiet location as well as the height allowed us to sleep comfortably with the windows open. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And we especially loved the evening meals which were delicious!
