Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. We are very happy that we were able to visit this place! We thank the host and everyone who made our stay here very comfortable. Importantly, the owner speaks English very well. The room is spacious and comfortable, has everything you need. We really enjoyed sleeping on the futon! Yukata and haori are wonderful. And it is impossible not to note the presence in the room of a Nintendo console with rare games: Mario, Zelda and others. 3 private onsen with different water temperatures. They are available to guests 24 hours and without restrictions. It is very convenient that you can watch online whether onsen is busy or not. This is a small thing, but it makes so comfortable to visit the hot springs, you do not need to go down from the room and check whether it is occupied or not. Well thought out! The common area is also wonderful. Here you can drink tea/coffee/water after visiting onsen. Use a massage chair, play games, read manga. Well, breakfast! Mmmmm, how delicious everything was! We also had a few requests for food, since we do not eat some products and the host replaced some items in the breakfast so that everything would suit us. Thanks for this care, it was so nice. This is a truly amazing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Every time we remember living here with warmth and delight. We really hope to come here again someday.

47 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, BUNA KUSATSU Onsen Inn is a recently renovated property set in Kusatsu and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This 3-star guest house offers luggage storage space and a shared lounge. The guest house has parking on-site, a hot spring bath and a shared kitchen. It was my first time in Kusatsu and I am really happy that I chose the Buna Hotel. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I love its modern side while still keeping a very traditional Japanese atmosphere. The place is beautiful, very quiet, and the welcome was so polite. I will recommend this hotel to my friends in France, and I truly hope to come back to Kusatsu one day. Arigatō gozaimasu! 🙏✨

There is an in-house restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Guests can use the sauna and the hot spring bath, or enjoy garden views. The owner Miki was very kind and helpful, gave us information we need before the trip and on arrival. The room was perfect to me, with great view of another traditional hotel covered with beautiful white snow. We ordered breakfast, which is very delicious and so rich that's good for a brunch 😋 We also tried dinner, very nice and even too much for me. 😆

This ryokan was the highlight of our trip to Japan. Excellent seasonal and varied breakfast options, with an attention to detail unparalleled in my travel experience. The soaking pools met our hopes and needs perfectly, and we preferred the private rooms to any of the town’s public onsens. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the location was great—away from the hustle and bustle of the main square. Staff were incredible—helpful, welcoming, and friendly despite our limited Japanese language skills! Would highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful stay.

It is even bigger than it looks in the pictures - large comfortable beds - delicious dinner and breakfast served in a private dining room - lots of activities to do - night light show at the "Spirited Away" bridge, massage chair, pantry/ lounge, and If the private onsen in your room is not enough for you, you can explore the various shared onsen. - nice items at the souvenir shop - friendly and accommodating staff - great location - it is just a minute walk to and from the bus that takes you to the train station, likewise it is walking distance to many cafes and to Asunaro which serves chicken tonkatsu that your grandparents will serve to their favourite grandchild.:)

A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. The onsen is amazing, they all have a great atmosphere and they have a mixed one. Great dinner and breakfast too!

Oyado Tamaki is the perfect cozy getaway, with a welcoming atmosphere and staff who attend to every detail. From the warm greeting with yuzu tea to their helpfulness throughout our stay, the service was impeccable (5/5). Our “Kaede” room had a semi-open-air bath that was incredibly relaxing after a day of exploring. The ambiance is peaceful—especially in the lounge and courtyard—and the ryokan itself beautifully balances traditional Japanese hospitality with modern touches. There were some live Japanese beetles on display (in clearly marked glass jars) near the front desk and, even though the whole stay was great, that was a true unexpected treasure for me! We’ll definitely be returning for the exceptional hospitality and cozy vibe!
