Everything was perfect: a very nice hotel in a good location with friendly and polite staff, a great view of the city with a foot bath where you can have a Japanese bento breakfast (you need to pick it up at the reception in the morning, free ice cream and coffee all day), a clean room with everything you need, a great onsen. The property is less than 1 km from the city centre and a 10-minute walk from Nijo Castle. Hotel facilities were amazing with a beautiful garden in the middle. The room itself (Deluxe Suite) was also perfect. The interior decor created a very relaxing ambience. Everything they provided in the room was also top notch. Location is very convenient with all attractions easily accessible by taxi or metro. Kyoto is not big so it is easy to get around. Service was also perfect.

It even had a genkan. Breakfast was a feast, with a view. The bath, particularly on the 4th floor, had a great view of the sea from above. Plenty of parking available. The guy at the reception who checked us in was fun and friendly, and spoke good English.

Everything was top notch, from the shuttle, to the staff, to the rooms, meals and amenities! I was a welcomed change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and area. The food prepared at dinner was almost too beautiful to eat, not to mention delicious! We had a private Onsen on our balcony and it was worth the extra money to be able to use it at our leisure. I cannot say enough about it. If given the opportunity, stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!
