Staying in accommodation on site meant that we could see the historic village whilst it was quiet. It was mainly French speaking but everyone was open to keep trying to communicate so we muddled through with no real problems. The breakfast was lovely and served by a lovely lady. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for a night stay. Having a bath as well as a separate shower added a sense of luxury. The history of the village was very interesting and it brought the era to life.

This property is a 3-minute walk from the beach. Located in Chambord, Chalets et Spa Lac Saint-Jean has a public beach. You will enjoy free Wi-Fi access.

Nice community approach where we have a chance to exchange with other renters. It's an old convent that was transformed into a hotel. Nice touch!

Although the property was away from the nearby town, it was located in a wooded area where the owner had made several walking tracks that we enjoyed. The room was fine with good views out over the garden area and also had a nice terrace.
