We found very helpful and pleasant staff and a clean and comfortable room The girl at the reception in Hotel Don Carlos really helped us on our arrival .We had a problem with our room and she immediately transferred us to another room - even better at no extra charge. We didn’t see her again but we would like to thank her . All was very good

What a wonderful apartment with a perfect location. room was great. We had a studio room on second floor. There isn’t an elevator but it’s such a lovely building and David helped us up with our bags. he was so helpful and informative of the local area and places to eat. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Very comfortable and beautiful features. Amazing plasterwork in breakfast area we admire workmanship and keeping buildings beautiful. Lovely staff and great nights sleep our room was quiet. Will stay again on return to Bilbao if plans permit. Mini fridge in room a bonus we had supplies for watching the world Cup .

The house was beautiful, so clean and comfortable and had everything we needed including toothbrushes when we had forgotten ours! The location was perfect, so close to the Old Town centre and with the beautiful church right outside. Samual our host was amazing and helped us out with parking and finding everything we needed. Caceres was a magical city and our stay at Portal De Santiago made the experience even better than we could have imagined. Would highly recommend staying here if you can!

I really liked the organization of the host. They suggested a parking garage that was close and more economical then other nearby parks. Their suggestions for restaurants and nearby drinking spots were great! The location is excellent as well, a very calm street but just steps away from restaurants and cafés.

    Hotel is right on the Plaza Mayor in the centre of the historic city. Loads of nearby restaurants and bars but surprisingly quiet. Francisco on reception gave us a free upgrade to a room overlooking the Plaza. The hotel doesn't have parking which means that luggage has to be hauled to the nearest car park involving a flight of steps. However this didn't detract from our enjoyment of the hotel and the city which has some fantastic historic buildings and monuments.

    A superb hotel - 6 star quality within a 4 start rating. The location is excellent. All staff are extremely helpful, and reception staff particularly so. The breakfast buffet offers a selection that exceeds all other hotels ~I have visited in many years. Although there is no onsite parking the car park with which the hotel has arrangements is very good, with helpful staff, and includes EV charging points for overnight charging.

    Great place for a stopover in Caceres. Easily accessible from the motorway but also walking distance from the city centre (20 minutes or so). Payable underground parking or plenty of free parking around the outside of the hotel. The pool area is great and perfect after a day out exploring. Breakfast was great too - not included in the room price but good value at 11 euros per person.

    Perfect location and the staff were very kind and helpful. Walking distance from everywhere in town (monumental district, great restaurants, clubs and bars are also around). Is also easy to park the car, as there is free parking available in the streets
