We highly recommend Gites les Costoliers for a peaceful countryside retreat near Sisteron, France. Our week-long stay was a delight, thanks to the welcoming and helpful attitude of the Viki, Marteen and the kids. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our visit. One of the highlights of our stay was the daily visits from the owners' friendly dog, which added a touch of warmth to our experience. We particularly enjoyed our walks through the nearby forest, accompanied by our canine companion. The serene natural surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. Gites les Costoliers offers an authentic taste of rural French life, and we left feeling refreshed and looking forward to our next visit.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The host was superb and very welcoming. Old house, nicely renovated, in the provence countryside. Even though it was 35*C outside, inside was comfortable. The pool is a must😀

Absolutely loved our stay at L'olivier sur la place! The studio room was the cute French countryside cottage we were hoping for. It has a small kitchenette with gas stove, sink, large fridge/ freezer (stocked with cold water and ice) and ample cookware/ crockery. It has a lovely lavender perfume which is very fitting. The toilet is also separate from the other bathroom amenities which is always appreciated. The included breakfast consisted of fresh bread, honey, jam, orange cake, yoghurt, fruit, tea/ coffee and juice. It was delicious and happily enjoyed in the lovely courtyard garden each morning. It is located in the very small village of La Rochegiron which is surrounded by lavender fields (most of these are harvested end of July). You will need a car to enable access and allow you to explore more of what Provence has to offer. The best part of our stay was definitely our hosts, Patrick and Muriel! It was like staying with family. They went over and above to make us feel welcome and at home, even giving us a ride home from town and taking us to some local lavender fields still in bloom when we though we had just missed out. They don't speak much English and we speak next to no French but this was nothing google translate could not overcome. Could not recommend staying at L'olivier sur la place enough!!

Located very close to Banon. After a few hours at the amazing bookshop in Banon decided to spontaneously stay overnight to go back the next day. This B&B was fantastic for the price: surprisingly comfortable, super quiet, wonderful countryside, had everything we needed (we brought our own picnic dinner to eat outside at the table and chairs for our own use); a continental breakfast was included and Pascale is a delightful host as well! The bonus was engaging conversation, fresh croissants brought to us in the morning and a bunch of lavender too! Will be back for another look at the region for sure.

We had the most wonderful one-night stay at Mas Tulipe de Soie — an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The location is incredibly peaceful and beautifully nestled in nature, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. What truly sets this place apart are the warm and genuinely friendly hosts, who welcomed us with such kindness that we immediately felt at home. Every detail in and around the house is clearly designed and maintained with great love and care — from the charming interiors to the serene outdoor spaces, everything exudes a sense of thoughtfulness and tranquility. And the breakfast — absolutely spectacular! Delicious, beautifully presented, and made with high-quality, fresh ingredients. It was the perfect way to start our day. We only wish we could have stayed longer. This place is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return!
