The property is situated in a picturesque and very quiet location among vineyards where we finally managed to recharge after an intense travel. The hosts are amazing and the guys made us a very special dinner with local products (some even from their garden!) paired with glasses of local wine and even wine which is produced by the host's sister so don’t miss an opportunity to try it. One more thanks for the pickled vegetables you gave us as a gift ❤️

We had a sensational stay with incredibly accommodating hosts. They both really welcome there guests and their dog is so lovely. If you go there you need to book the Breakfast - we have rarely had such a delicious breakfast with homemade bread. And in the evening you can relax in the jacuzzi.

Apart from the lavish pool and the great service in the hotel and restaurant, the staff were extremely helpful when upon leaving we discovered that we had a flat tire. The hotel manager pointed us to all local garages, sat with us as we tried to find a solution and offered us in the meantime a glass of wine while we enjoyed the pool a little bit longer than expected. These little extras are what make a great hotel perfect. We will definitely come back and recommend this place.

The location was really nice - the garden bordered on the vineyards, there was a small swimming pool in the garden surrounded by decking (ideal to cool off after a whole day driving), there was a communal table shared with the other guests and the hosts around food or if you had not reserved for dinner for the breakfast and chats with a glass of wine or whichever. The hosts were absolutely charming, they put some bottles in the fridge for us and we absolutely loved sitting around the table in the evening with them and the other guests. We also loved all the little decorations the hosts put in the room, the garden, having the possibility of a shared game room or somewhere outside the bedroom where you could sit on a table.

Wonderful house in a beautiful region, already there everything sounds perfect - all the ingredients for a great stay. But what made this place special and created the best memories was the host couple, Bénédicte and Dominique, hospitality and their passion for life along with their genuine thoughtfulness. This manifested the whole stay, from the beautiful clean room which had a detailed and tasteful interior (with great AC) up to the most beautiful and tasty breakfast in the morning sun. The host couple went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and have a great stay. For us this became the highlight of our roadtrip and the host couple gladly came with suggestions when asking on what to do in the neighbourhood. Villa Saint-Lager is a place we will keep close to our hearts, and along with the hospitality, our impression of Beaujolais couldn’t have been better and we are eager to come back in the future!
