Pure perfection! We had a ground floor room, with the perfect view of the Loire and the château. A gorgeous, cosy, but not small room with a beautiful timbered ceiling. The shower room and toilet are separate, so that's a bonus. Breakfast if served in the troglodyte breakfast room. Something that adds to the quirky charm of this hotel. We also had an evening meal in the restaurant across the road. Equally highly recommended.

The pictures of the outside area and the pool didn't do justice to how truly amazing it was. The view from the balcony was fantastic, so calm and peaceful overlooking the woods. beautiful in summer, and I imagine lovely in cooler months too. Alex was also super helpful, and the wine was a tasty surprise. Conveniently placed to visit the local attractions too.

la foliere is a wonderfull B en B. The hosts are very nice and helpfull. We got a very complete breakfast in the lovely garden. the room is not to big, but there is everything you need incl. coffee and tea maker. Bed is excellent, shower is the best. Close to Saumur, which is a very Nice town. After a long dat of cycling, the pool in the garden is the best.

The property was very homey and lovely. The breeze of cool air from the cave was so refreshing even though the weather was so hot outside around 38 degrees the time we went. We really had good nights of sleep. The couple running the Airbnb was so nice and friendly. They even dine with us and prepared a delicious dinner so don’t miss it. They both speak good English so that was really helpful all throughout our travel.

We expected something special when we decided to book a room in a chateau at the Loire. What we didn't expect was the warm welcome of this family of Irish owners, who hace created a real marvel here. We enjoyed every moment of our stay, from the wonderful breakfast at the big table to the nice evenings in the garden, from the grand staircase to the old creeky one, from sharing memories to hunting the bats :) And btw, the room was wonderful too.

    We liked the location. The room was clean and comfortable. They have secure bicycle parking. Overall the room and breakfast were very good. It was a little overpriced but I think we were paying for the location.

    The hotel was centrally located in the town and our room was comfortable with a view over the The Loire and chateau. Cycles were parked in a secure garage across the road (in the restaurant car park). Breakfast was good and in an 'underground cellar' Dinner at the 'sister' restaurant was excellent and situated outside overlooking The Loire and Chateau

    I love this hotel. We had such a wonderful stay here. Amazing staff- so helpful, help with wine tasting, boat cruise. Anything we wanted or need the staff would fulfill. The restaurant is excellent plus you have a beautiful view of the Chateau! The town is so lovely- I want to move there! Parking is a plus!
