We specifically wanted peace and quiet which we had. We also looked forward to eating nice food which we found to be exceptionally well made. The evening meal we enjoyed was a highlight of our time there. The breakfast buffet was well worth having.

Incredibly hospitable hosts, a charming castle in the middle of nature. We could see deers from the castle, we played with the 4 cats, we took long walks on the domain. It was quiet and relaxing and beautiful. We would come back any day!

The castle is beautiful, in a green landscape, and has a nice garden where you can relax. The rooms are royally decorated, very comfortable, a truly magical experience. The restaurant is elegant and the service is castle-worthy, but the menu has very limited options.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful and truly unique hotel. It felt like stepping 200 years back in time! The entire atmosphere is beautifully preserved in the historicist style — from the hotel's décor, furniture, and tableware to even the staff’s clothing. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was well-equipped and neatly arranged, and the breakfast was excellent. The welcome drink was also a lovely touch.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was a great variety and absolutely delicious. They were able to adjust to whatever our desires were. We especially enjoyed being able to use the dining room to play games together in the evening. Very well located but in the country...which we enjoyed.

    L'Aubinière is just the way I would like a hotel to be: located in a quiet village but not far away from many beautiful places to visit, with outstanding kitchen - a really fantastic breakfast and a great dinner we thoroughly enjoyed (and what a fine wine list). It has comfortable rooms, parking spaces, a small but nice outside pool and hosting is really so kind. A very strong recommendation!
