The boat was a really comfortable, spacious, and well equipped. The hosts were very friendly and explained everything to us. The boat also had easy access to a public shower and toilet. Although there were both of these on the boat this was very helpful. The village was lovely with a chateau and a nice bistro. We really enjoyed our stay

The host met us there and explained everything we needed to know about the property. They also gave us recommendations about the area; where to eat, what to visit, etc.. They were very friendly. The property is located just outside of Tanlay, France and was very quiet and peaceful but only a 15 minute amble into Tanlay where there is a very good bakery, a lovely little supermarket and a basic, good, friendly Bisto attached to the hotel: Bistrot La Basse Cour. Good base for cycling: you can hire cycles and boats by the canal in Tanlay. 2 hours to Dijon, 1.5 hours to Auxerre and 25 minutes to Chablis. All worth a visit. Large supermarkets 8 km away in Tonnerre; Leclerc, Lidl and Aldi but it's also in the region where they make Champagne, Chablis, Beef Bourguignon, Chaource cheese amongst other very excellent food & drink, so get out and try some local producers!

I stayed here because it is not far from the GR that I am walking. It has a lovely garden to relax in and a very congenial host who has a good ability with different languages. She cooked a delicious dinner for me.

The apartment was absolutely brilliant, really clean, comfortable, and beautifully equipped, the bed is the most comfortable iv ever slept in! Tonnerre is a gem, a diamond in the rough. It has stunning views and the Fosse Dionne (A Hydro vent.) is definitely worth a visit, as is the many churches in this gorgeous ancient town.

Everything was perfect. Lovely apartment. Central location. Storage for bicycles was a plus. Lovely selection of coffee and stuff. Brilliant find. Large bedroom and large lounge/dining area. Communication was good. Self check-in was easy.

I cannot describe how good this place is. If you are traveling south or on the Canal de Bourgogne you must stay here. It is superb.
