I loved staying in my favorite room which has direct access to the lovely grounds. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and amazing shower. What I love most about Hartwell House is the serenity, quietness and lush greenery.

The place was perfect. Immaculately clean. Owner was very welcoming. I will absolutely be staying here again. This is a highly recommended place to stay. Few minutes walk to the centre with some very good bars and places to eat.

Full English breakfast cooked by the manager was delicious! Pastries were out of this world too, croissants that’s crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Everyone’s really friendly here and the bathroom fittings is Grohe (wow…) Probably the best location too, just outside Aylesbury bus and rail stations, right in the middle of the town centre with food market on Saturday just outside and only 3mins walk to the theatre.

    Room spacious with view of garden. Beautiful walk around the estate. Historical links. Safe car parking. Breakfast excellent. Evening dinner first rate. Staff very helpful and polite. Spa facilities excellent (but, on the day we left, we were not allowed access to the swimming pool after our check-out time. This was very disappointing)

    Absolutely lovely accommodation - exceptionally comfortable and pretty unique . Brilliant location - with good car parking . Staff - bar , breakfast , restaurant were helpful, very friendly, professional and made outstay so memorable. They are an valuable asset to the inn and company. Food - breakfast and restaurant was very good with lots of choices. Pleasantly prepared and presented- very enjoyable.     Comfortable & friendly family-run hotel in what used to be the Rothschilde's gardeners' house, and was at one stage used as a ballooning centre. Rooms comfortable, warm, clean and quiet; on the small side but we didn't mind that. Good breakfasts and pub serving good meals within 5 minutes walk. Plenty of free parking. Lovely Chiltern hills and woods nearby, and within striking distance of Cliveden, Henley etc

    I liked the modern decor and open plan layout from the main entrance so you can move easily from front desk to lounge area to bar and restaurant, and the courtyard would be lovely on a warm day; the Spirit Health and Fitness complex was fabulous and the free parking a bonus; the selection at breakfast was brilliant and the staff were friendly and helpful.

    The pool and jacuzzi were lovely and clean, the room was a good size, very clean with a very comfortable bed, large TV and pleasant view. The staff are always exceptional. Always good to have free parking.
