I was the only person staying (not a massive surprise in mid November). But Ann was so welcoming and lovely - available but not intrusive. Loved having a chat in the morning over coffee!! Such a lovely location, minutes from the town centre yet feels miles away, peaceful and quiet. An amazing breakfast, good quality food, and a clear amount of effort. I grew up around here, so know the area but this was a fantastic base to do some exploring. Good room, clean and comfortable.

Always enjoy a stay at the Bruce Hotel,the staff always met whatever needs you need,as the restaurant is closed they'll provide you with whatever you need if you get a takeaway.. Breakfast is amazing..I was pleasantly surprised as they have done a lot of work in the hotel since I was there last year in regards to redecorating the rooms and also the the car park area..😃
