Had an issue with the key and Paul came very very quickly to sort us out. King size bed, ahhhhh. Lovely bottle of wine on our arrival. Excellent service and friendliness of all the staff. This is an amazing complex, Spa, Wedding venue, cottages, best Pub, The Apple Inn. Do make a reservation if you want to dine there, it's very popular.

The accomodation was perfect for our needs. It's finished to a high standard. The fenced off front was perfect for letting our dog out as was the doggie welcome box. The free entry to the Spa was the icing on the cake.

The staff were simply amazing. Super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our 4 day stay. At the Lodge just flag the X15 bus down on the A1 and you are 30 minutes from Berwick, Alnwick, Bamburgh and Holy Island. (For carless Canadians like us) Though taking a Cab is a grest way to learn about the local scene and Northern Hopitality

    Very clean and modern, but in keeping with the style of the property. Lovely and spacious rooms. Good size shower. Right next to the town centre but still peaceful. Good access to all surrounding areas (Alnwick, Bamburgh, Holy Island, Berwick) Parking is on street parking rather than an alloted space but never had an issue finding a place to park.

    The staff are fantastic they go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The chefs also two brilliant guys from what we could see the kitchen looked immaculate. The food was spot on with very little wait time. Made fresh all homemade steak pie etc We had 2 evening meals and breakfast 4 times and cannot fault the food and the service. The hotel is in a great location with plenty of free parking, hotel and local pubs all dog friendly. Comfortable bed & all clean bedding and clean room. Value for money

    Newly re-furbished. Right level of facilities without being over the top. Spotless on arrival and easily cleaned before departure. Easy to find using the street view on Google Maps. Village close to the A1 but not noisy. Adequate on-street parking for a large SUV.

    Room was quiet with rural views. Plenty of free parking at the front of the Lodge. Good choice of meals on the evening dinner menu. Breakfast plentiful. Location was good (for us) travelling from North to South and easy to find along the A1.
