We loved everything – both the location and the accommodation itself. Anete and Stuart had thought of everything, right down to the smallest details. It truly felt like home. It was just perfect. The location in town, the owners, my room with a beautiful view, their service, and the lovely summer weather.... all came together. Claudie and Jeremy, the owners, really make you feel at home. It is their passion. We had nice talks about life and were sharing our feelings about the process we're in, nowadays. They share their kitchen and bathroom, with free coffee and tea for example and I got even magnesium salt for a lovely warm bath. They just give a guest what their soul needs. They really tune in! You also can book a soundhealing with Claudie (you must experience!).Travelling just by myself, I really felt save, knowing that I could rely on them. I got more than I expected. And what a marvellous view on the tor from the room and the terrace. And the hill on which the hostel is located is lovely to meditate in the morning or to see the sunset. So sereen....

The house is absolutely charming. It is very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was lovely and the room was very comfortable. Martin and Melanie are wonderful hosts. The house is very well located for visiting the area. We travelled to stay for an event at The Newt and it was perfect. We would highly recommend it.

    I stayed at the Cross Keys for an event locally, the staff were exceedingly friendly from the start. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a good size. The pub itself has a good selection of food and drink, and has a very welcoming atmosphere. There is a sizeable car park to the rear which can accommodate vehicles up to van/pick-up truck easily. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would definitely book again.

    Plenty of parking on site and felt secure as the gate was locked overnight. Friendly staff who accommodated our early departure in the morning by providing cereal and milk (kept in the communal fridge), even gave us a lunchtime wrap to keep us going!

    We were trying to follow the Fosse Way from North to South and this pub was a good overnight stop. It had good parking, pleasant rooms, friendly staff and excellent food. All at a good price.

    Disappointed that Monday menus are “light bites” so had a wrap and some chips. Not substantial but good quality. Plenty of room in the car park! Room cleanliness and good shower. Breakfast at 07.30 was appreciated.
