Very comfortable room. Maybe not much of a view but we were only there one night. The bed was large and comfortable. Bathroom had everything that was needed and was very new looking. Breakfast was self service and the food was good.

    A stunning historic property in a peaceful, rural setting. We needed dog friendly rooms so stayed in The Stables which were slightly separate from the main building. The Stables have their own convenient parking and the whole property is peaceful.

    Beautiful hotel and gardens with a fascinating history. Worth reading the whole story and evolution of the house going back to the 11th century, Elizabeth I, and Victorian times. Full English breakfasts in the sunroom overlooking the gardens was a treat. We stayed in the modernized stables, which includes plenty of parking hidden so as not to spoil the view.

    Loved the staff, the food, the room, the parking! Faultless! Barry and his team were fabulous and made my stay excellent. Special thanks also to Silva, Tom, Richard, Tuschita, Janet, Matt, Geraldine, Euan who also went above and beyond in being friendly and helpful. Will be back!
