This place is steeped in Wainwright history so is a perfect place to stay is your doing the Coast to Coast or any other walking in the area. The beds a comfortable, the rooms are big and the view from our window was gorgeous. The owners are delightful and extremely helpfuland the honesty bar was an added bonus.

    Staff were very helpful, restaurant manager looked after us very well, professional gentleman who made sure we were good with all the food, he brought mushrooms and vegan sausages catering for our needs. 10 stars to him! Great location, plenty of parking, breakfast, lunch and dinner served

    Staff were really friendly and helpful. Able to accommodate later arrival. Bed very comfortable. Room warm despite cold outside. Lovely view from window. Shower good. Evening meal superb. Brilliant location for walking. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. On site parking. Plan to come again.

    The bed was very comfortable, breakfast was very good plenty to eat and a good choice of food. The location was ideal for where we wanted to visit. No problem with parking. Good entertainment on one of the nights we were there.

    Check in experience was perfect, limited parking but an overflow car park opposite the hotel, a nice bar and plenty of space to relax, dinner was a limited menu which I liked as too much choice is often a pain and the service was fast, Breakfast was perfect and self service, plenty of options and staff very pleasant. Great location short walk from Glenridding with options and things to do, including the Ullswater Steamer
