Cringletie House is a wonderful establishment, one feels like a royal here. The estate is beautiful, has this ‘old’ charm with creaky, carpeted floors. The staffmembers are lovely and go all the way to help you, especially the young lady who was at the reception desk when we arrived, she was super sweet!

What a surprise to walk into a clean, very neat apartment and immediately feel at home. There was everything in the kitchen, even a whole loaf of bread, milk, butter in the fridge, there were also biscuits, jam and lots more. Many thanks to a wonderful hostess who makes it so easy for travelers to feel at home in her unit and pays attention to even the smallest detail. Highly recommended, thank you very much!

This was the most amazing experience ever and the Staff are fantastic! Highly recommend! 10 stars! The room, the bed is beautiful, the sitting room makes you feel like royalty, the view, the hidden staircases, being able to have a fire in the fireplace, the hidden kitchenette (which held some wonderful little snacks), the history, EVERYTHING! Making family back home jealous….priceless! Thank you to the staff and owners for sharing such a magnificent part of history! We will be forever grateful that we were able to experience Neidpath Castle.

The room was bright and clean. The bed was comfy. The shower was great! The breakfast was very hearty. The afternoon tea with delicious scones was wonderful. No one makes scones like those at the Tontine! Location fantastic.

Location was perfect for me as a one night stop over enroute to a local retreat. I would like to go back and explore the area a bit more. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice, wonderful food and friendly service. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely go back.

    The owner Ben goes above and beyond and should be commended! Very responsive to all communications. The property is a little gem in Peebles with a location that’s impossible to beat, in the heart of the town but quiet and with safe public parking nearby. The complimentary Tablet was very nice thanks Ben. The apartment has everything you need for a great stay in Peebles and the town has good public transport options for a day visit to Edinburgh.
