We have known Steve and Kerry for many years. This latest stay and visit was for the wake for my wonderful mum. As always everyone and everything was catered for and looked after with the utmost csre and dignity. Peaceful location, close walk to town. I highly recommend Laurel Lodge for parkrunners as it's a pleasant warm-up walk to Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School. Breakfasts are delicious. Brenda is an amazing host, thank you for making my stay so memorable!

I had a really lovely stay at Magpies. Everyone was so kind and welcoming - I felt really at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautiful - with a great bath, much needed after a day’s cycling! I ate in the restaurant - and the food was excellent, really excellent. What a great place, and what lovely people!

Absolutely 10/10 on everything! Everything you could want from a getaway. Full of nature, no noise of traffic or other people or anything like that. Get to sit out in the comfy rocking chair in a blankie and feel so serene. The host Jane is absolutely lovely and I felt like a cherished visitor rather than simply a customer. Perfect for my mates dog as well who also got a great holiday as he could wander in and out without being at risk and without any of that nature being at risk too with a super secure fence. Outdoor shower was the best (there is an indoor one too!) And now I want one in my garden! I'm already planning to see when I can come back and for longer, loveliest place I've ever stayed. 💖

Was so impressed with Hangman's Cottage that I felt compelled to write a review. The place has got an endearing contemporary quaint look, was spotless, and smelled brand new; And it was VERY well equipped. I'm not normally one to comment on decor, but the interior was so beautiful that you felt as though you'd stepped into a magazine. Importantly, it was quiet. In the end, the fact that I could not park next to the cottage paled into insignificance. Would highly recommend a stay here and most certainly visit again.

An exceptional property in every way. Extremely well equipped, very comfortable and beautifully appointed. The owner had thought of everything including extra little touches that just made you feel very welcome. The toiletries, and even the cleaning products, smelt divine.

    The food was fabulous. Good portion sizes, piping hot, fresh produce freshly made to order. No juke box or loud music playing, no gaming machines to annoy you is a major thumbs up from us. Kerry and Steve were friendly and knowledgeable about the locality. Plenty of parking and the beer garden and outside seating area was a bonus. Plenty of storage in bedroom. Wardrobe and drawers more than adequate. Fan supplied was also a bonus for hot weather and useful for us ladies of a certain age.
