Very atmospheric place to stay, with lovely, cosy interior! The cottage has old (in a good way!) and traditional feel to it, with all of the modern comforts you might need. We stayed there in October, with the outside temperatures on the lower side, and inside was so lovely and warm! Additionally, working log burner added extra warmth and cosiness in the living area. Kim, whom I’ve liaised with regarding the cottage, was very nice and helpful throughout. The location was also fantastic, only short drive to Edinburgh and beautiful Pentland Hills reserve. I’d definitely visit again!

Everything it was amazing and above our expectations We had access to or own private bathroom that was modern and beautiful, we both felt very comfortable showing here as in other places they have shared bathrooms and it's not as comfortable. The Private hot tub was the cherry on the top for us and also the seat swings around the garden to sit on and enjoy the views. Me and my wife came here after or wedding in gretna on are way up in to the Scottish mountains and we couldn’t be happy with are visit. So much so we are already planning on coming back in the summer months

    Easy Hotel to find, rooms spotless, comfy bed with soft fluffy pillows/towels with white linen cool smooth sheets. . Soap Products good quality. Bath a bonus. Fully stocked tea/coffee. Stand alone hairdryer. Tv . Loved the main lounge decor especially light fixtures plus the many choices of different seating. Drinks/food reasonably priced. Eg. £20.50 for btle of Pino. Which was nice quality. Lastly plenty secure parking. Staff were excellent.

    Nicola, our Receptionist, is both welcoming & efficient. A stunning setting with a dedication to provide a pristine environment. Good Parking. Large bedroom with en-suite shower - bathroom in excellent condition & all in working order. The Breakfast & Evening meal served in a large dinning room overlooking the well tendend gardens. The Lounge area looked so inviting, however, too tired to enjoy on this occasion - will definitely rebook this hotel.

    This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful setting just a short cycle or car ride to Biggar. The refurbishment is very tasteful and our room was most comfortable. We booked at the last minute and arrived about 7pm. The hotel was fully booked with a large coach party but we still received a warm welcome and the staff were on top of everything. A lovely breakfast was served with plenty of choice. There is a really large secure car park and beautiful grounds to walk around. We have stayed here before and will again.

    Forget the older reviews. The ongoing renovations are making this a great hotel. I enjoyed a nice room with excellent WiFi and a pleasant breakfast, if a little overpriced. There is a large car park and the staff were all very friendly. I would definitely stay again.
