Everything was perfect. Iain & Elizabeth were incredibly lovely, treating us more as family members than guests. Every tiny detail was curated, from the lemon pie they gave us as a welcome gift, to the tour of the house given by Iain. They even made us a breakfast bag because we had the ferry at 6 in the morning. Perfect stay in a lovely island!

The location, facilities, breakfast and hosts were truly amazing! 10 out of 10 points - we loved absolutely everything about this place, it was incredibly comfortable, luxurious and utterly beautiful! One of my best overnight experiences ever - I cannot praise Carolanne and her husband enough for their hospitality and superb service. Highly renommended!

The place is marvelous itself. House is spacious and very convenient. Extremely well equipped, cozy. There was actually nothing we would not love there. Garden, where otter came through on its way to the sea. Elk came to say Hi. Seals nearby. And in the evening, fireplace with live fire and peaceful view over the bay. Fits well two families. Both having their own privacy, but plenty of space to share as well. All that in the heart of lovely Harris countryside. Simply one of the nicest and the most pleasant places we visited yet.

The location is gorgeous. The house is immaculate. All the colours in the rooms are in tune with the surroundings. The house has everything you need, and is really comfortable. It's really easy to use.we didn't worry about having our dog with us. Easy to keep clean and tidy. Really dog friendly.

Beautifully renovated house, bedrooms, utility room and bathroom downstairs all with plenty of space and the main bedroom with fabulous view out to the bay. Upstairs the kitchen and living room area again with view using a window the width of the room to maximise the effect and light. Velux roof windows too brought in lots of light. Simple stylish furnishings suited it perfectly. Kitchen well equipped with freezer downstairs in utility room, perfect for not disturbing the silence you experience when staying here. Bathroom has large shower cabinet with an excellent shower fitted. Modern heating too, electric thermostat radiators throughout, very cosy at night and in the morning. The enjoyment is a credit to the housekeeper who presented the house immaculately clean and as new on arrival. Location is superb, less than half mile from Tarbert and down a track from the road there is no sound of cars passing and the house is private with a great view over Urgha bay,its idyllic. Excellent communication too from the owner who offers his number should you have any issues. We had a wonderful five nights in Harris and I cannot recommend this house enough, it’s wonderful.

    The house was absolutely spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. Lovely fresh flowers on arrival and milk in the fridge. A perfect location for exploring Harris and Lewis, great views and safe parking. Will definitely be back!

    Prefect place to stay in Tarbert, walking distance to ferry terminal. Easy to park outside hotel, either on street or in public car park opposite. Friendly staff, cosy rooms, good cooked breakfasts, and good ambience and food in the bar. Smoked haddock risotto with poached egg, hollandaise and crispy leeks being a bit of a stand-out dish. Couldn't fault it and wouldn't ever stay anywhere else in Tarbert.

    Great location, lovely views and outside space. Designated parking for 2 cars. Well equipped property, comfortable beds, great kitchen space. Great welcome and chats with the host. I'm sure she'd do anything to help you if needed, a lovely lady. Being just off the main road the property is ideally located for both Harris and Lewis.

    I loved everything! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the room was super comfy and clean, great power shower and so handy having a fridge. Free parking outside the hotel and a fantastic location for visiting places in South and North Harris
