The location was wonderful, with incredible historic sites in walking distance of the cottage. The cottage was beautifully presented and lovely and clean. It was spacious and very comfortable. The owner was incredibly helpful in suggesting places to visit in the area.

Built in 1837 and boasting many of the original period features, Stonefield Castle is an example of Scottish baronial architecture.

Being on the way to Tarbent literally in the middle of nowhere I was impressed that the host was so nice as to help me out with the taxi for the next day and get the cashback as the taxi charged only cash...The room was nice and cosy, wi-fi was good. Everything was perfect, thanks again to the staff of this charming little place ! It's definitely the best hotel we have stayed in Scotland. The place is very cosy, the staff is very friendly and helpful (good advices when you wanna taste whisky ;)) I highly recommend it !
