    Wonderful old coaching inn. Full of character. Excellent food and plenty of choice. Staff really great. Car parking on site which is a bonus and centrally placed so that everything is easy to get to. Can highly recommend and we will be back.

    Room & bathroom were very clean and well equipped, bed comfortable. Great to have the licensed coffee shop on site and easy/free parking. Great views/scenery surrounding the property and in a quiet location.

    Fantastic central location, with really easy access to Keswick, Grasmere, Ambleside, etc. Close to a main road which buses run along. 5min walk to the start of the trail for Helvellyn. Quiet at night. Really friendly staff. Lovely continental breakfast, and a cafe on site for drinks and snacks all day. Wi-fi was great, bed was very comfy. Free parking. I would certainly stay here again.

    The location was brilliant of the hotel was brilliant. The car parking was good - free (but you need to put your reg plate in at reception, which isn't a problem) and plenty of car parking space which is rare you get that these days. Staff were pleasant and smiley when you walked past.
