From walking into the Hazeldene, you were welcomed by one of their friendly employees who ensured that they covered all basis for you to have a relaxing stay. Both I and my partner are runners and the addition of having the dry room at the back of the premises with a separate entrance was a bonus for us to store and dry our trainers ready for the next day's adventures. The breakfast was faultless and plentiful. I highly recommend their home-cooked granola as a starter before your fry-up. This served us well post-run and pre-Scafell hike. The rooms are spacious and comfortable- our ensuite was perfect and the showers were hot. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Keswick you couldn't go wrong in booking the Hazeldene.

We spent 3 wonderful days in a house near Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater, not far from Keswick. The place is ideal for a quiet family holiday - the windows overlook the lake and mountains, and around there is only silence and nature. The house is clean, well-kept and equipped with everything you need: comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, hot water and heating work perfectly. The internet is stable, there is a parking space near the house. The location is very convenient - Keswick is a few minutes by car, and wonderful walking routes start nearby.

We were late arriving and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating regarding our evening meal and were really helpful in showing us to our cottage. Overall the staff were great and the atmosphere lovely. Our cottage was really sweet with all we needed and more. There was parking and even EV charging which was great for us. There was a secure bike store which was really important to us too.
