This place is fantastic. Gorgeous grounds, lovely food and... Peacocks. We were upgraded to a bigger room as we were celebrating a birthday, and also got some chocolates and a handwritten card signed by all the staff! We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

We had a lovely 2 night break in the Narrow Escape, it was wonderful. Everything was clean and tidy, the kitchen was well equipped, the sofa bed was so much more comfortable than we expected and the log burner is sooooo lovely.

Shangri-La is a lovely little property. It’s cosy but it offered everything I needed for my one night stay whilst working locally. It was comfortable and perfectly clean. Shower room was a good size and the shower worked really well. Location was handy and really peaceful. I can highly recommend. Would happily stay again.

    Great central location near to good shops and restaurants/bars. Parking was provided and communication with the owner was very good. The facilities were excellent, clean and new. The shared kitchen had everything we needed and more.

    Easy to find and good car park. The check in was warm and friendly and as our room was not ready we were given vouchers for a drink in the bar. The porter brought our bags to our room (2nd floor, no lift). Service in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was friendly and efficient. There was a good choice of food on the menu, especially for breakfast. Nice grounds to take a walk.

    The only problem is parking near the hotel especially on a busy day with many events. However that is still catered for by parking provision at the landing grounds.

    The room was big and good. The food was good. Most of the staff were helpful, even beyond duty. The park was amazing. Disabled parking well positioned. The swimming pool was great and open for long hours.

    I stayed at Pendley as was playing golf in the area. Impressive house down long drive. Peacocks great you in the car park and nice smell of wood burning on entry. Room was spacious and well appointed with nice shampoo and conditioner. Breakfast hearty and served in airy, bright room.
