The staff was very nice. Breakfast was exceptionally abundant and excellent. As the hotel has a pub, I feared some noise at night, but this was not the case and after 10:00 PM everything was very calm.

Graham met us with a big smile as we arrived. Explained breakfast and our room. We had booked as just a room for the night to be near cheddar gorge. But we walked into Axebridge and discovered it's a proper cute medieval town. Nice pub the Lamb Inn. The walk takes you through a muddy field to avoid walking on the road, so you get muddy shoes. The BnB was great, basic but fairly large family room with 3 beds, Shower room was standard. We wanted for nothing. The biscuits and coffee and tea were appreciated after a long days travel. Breakfast was great. Individual servings in reusable glass bottles for cereals and drinks. Great idea. Home made jams and bread. And a full cooked breakfast!! Thanks

The staff were incredible - interested, intelligent, welcoming, inobtrusive. The food was excellent (we dined there in the evening), the room lovely, with a spacious bathroom; a superb mattress and perfect night's sleep.

We had a fantastic time during our stay at Westbury Cross House! Rachel and Robert were friendly, communicative and welcoming. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, with a large comfortable bed. The bed linens, duvet and pillows in particular were high quality, which I really appreciated as this sometimes isn't the case in hotels and B&Bs. The bathroom was lovely and featured a rainfall shower and heated towel rail. There were home made cookies and tea making facilities in the room, and every day we were offered a thermos of milk so that we would have it to make tea with in the morning, which was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast was truly delicious - the food was cooked and prepared with real attention to detail and with as much care you would put into making breakfast for yourself and your family. Robert was also able to recommend some great hikes around the area! The location was very convenient for Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge, while also being quiet and peaceful. Overall 10/10, highly recommend!

    Lovely country pub / inn in a historic country town close to Glastonbury. Very comfortable and generous rooms, friendly and helpful staff. The food is very good and quick service - both dinner and breakfast. There's off-street parking and a beer garden. Child friendly, with a playground in the garden. Would be great for a relaxing weekend lunch or dinner just as much as an overnight stay.

    Loved our dog could join us on holiday. The place was close to all the places we wanted to visit in the area. We had our own parking spot which left safe to park over night and could leave and any point if needed to. We liked how the kitchen had all the pans and trays so didn't need to pack any extra, could cook a family meal easily if wanted to. There was a communal freeze and washing machine if needed. There was a cider farm shop not far away which was nice to enjoy in the evening by the log fire.

    We loved everything . The cottage is lovely , clean and very well equipped . We couldn’t have asked for more . Lovely little secure garden for the dogs . Easy parking and easy to get to Glastonbury which was the main reason for the trip . We were very happy .
