Lyn&Steve are super hosts and amazing people. Not only did they accommodate my dietary requirements, but were super helpful and caring with my flat tyre problem. They saved me, literally. The Hayloft is the perfect place to retreat from city madness: quiet, cozy, and equipped with everything you need. Views on the church and plants are a plus. Exmoor is the perfect place for those who appreciate nature and animals.

I had dinner here and you know when you really suddenly find a place and absolutely love it but you wonder what it's gonna be like to actually stay there... it was amazing. The rooms and the detail of the historic restoration make it so cozy but it's so friendly. It's chic but not stuffy or pretentious. That's what makes it wonderful. Not just friendly to people but really dog friendly. So you're there in the most stunning setting. It's like being in heaven- you're in wild and wooly, romantic Exmoor where you can sit out on the terrace perched high above a stream and look out. Or go out and walk in the countryside. It's secluded but conveniently located to be able to go down to Exeter or up somewhere else onto the coast. It's just perfect and the restaurant is fantastic and well worth the detour to just to go to the restaurant. I can't wait to come back again and most guests come back year after year...

Lovely cottage with all the comfort for our stay. Beautiful location. The swimming pool was a hit with our teen and so were the horses. Lots of great walks at the door step. Would love to return.
