Our stay at Tree of Life Grand Oak Manor was blissful. Wonderfully attentive staff in a historic heritage manor, all set in the beautiful Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, with fabulous walking trails and staggering views of the Himalayas, including Nanda Devi (7800 plus metres). Tremendous sunrise and sunset views, comfortable rooms, really nice sitting room, veranda and garden, lovely mountain view room balcony and excellent food. Suits independent minded, nature and history oriented visitors who do not mind the 30-minute rather bumpy rocky approach via dirt track road. The extraordinary restful spiritual aura of the place is palpable and profound. It is an ideal resting place after the frenetic energy of India.

The hospitality was genuine and overwhelming. Having located in a remote area, the staff comprising of locals and city-bred tried their best to serve our needs. For a couple who hardly lived in harsh circumstances ( cold weather) and life of shortcomings, it was a bliss to have encountered and adapted to them. The rustic touch to our stay was phenomenal and lived through it every bit.

After arrival, we got the room and toilet cleaned. The lady at the reception said that what more do you want? You have bathroom, sink. But it was dirty to which she didn't bother to respond. There was no running water. I had to use washroom located in other rooms for my basic daily needs. The husband wife couple managing the resort were extremely rude and were not willing to listen to any of our grievances rather in front of us they started abusing the employees working at the property. When we asked their names separately, both told us that their name is Ranjeesh. Now how can two people share one name? They are lied all through the stay. NO ONE SHOULD STAY AT THIS PROPERTY. THE OWNER SHOULD REPLACE THE MANAGERS.

My recent stay at the Cottage Club Inn was an absolute delight. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained, providing a perfect space to relax. The owner was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make me feel at home. What made the stay even more special was the food. The authentic Kumauni cuisine was absolutely delicious and gave me a real taste of the local flavors.
