Nice place to stay on a road trip around Basilicata. It is the floor part of a house from the old quarter of Garaguso, set on a narrow street. I had a Fiat Panda and I was able to get right to the building and to park it, but a bigger car should be parked in the central square, 200 m away. The property was clean and it had all the necessary amenities, it looks far better then in the photos, it is a real house, not the standard "set" for appartment rentals. The teracce is indeed impressive, with view to the valley and the country side hills. The owner, Amelia, lives next door and she is very nice and helpfull.

The house is all newly refurbished. It is done very nicely, with all comforts, two beautiful bathrooms that are very handy when travelling with family, showers are lovely, kitchen is lovely, all beds are very comfortable, even the bed settee. Very high quality air conditioning units fitted, although the mountain air at night is very fresh. Beautiful views from bedroom window. The car can get close for easy off loading of bags. Easy to walk to the old town. The house has also a n access code, but I was able to meet a person. A set of key is also provided together with a parking pass which allows you to park in the blue marked parking zones at only €2 for 24h

Stunning view from the little balcony. The property is very well equipped. There is a pellet stove to keep you warm All kinds of amenities to make your stay pleasant. Very central in town and just a few steps away from restaurants and a few bars. A very good way to explore this town. Luca, your host is very effective and responds very fast on any enquiry. “Io sono qui per voi” - this is the motto of our host ! A very very energic, lively, strong woman who loves her area and wants to share the beauty of the region with you. Everything you ask her will not remain unsolved. The house is a combination of new and old, like the whole region, but every thing you will see has a special meaning, just look for it. You will find in house everything you need, just ask the host. I suggest renting the whole house.The parking is on the street in front of the house but it is in a safe area with ok neighbors. Here you find another Italy, quieter, cleaner and simple and respectful people. Thank you Filomena, thank you for all !
