Oh my! The absolute best hotel we stayed at. The ryokan was absolute. Outside foot bath. Hot stone rest room. Onsen in and out real onsen (people go there more for that). The dinner was a poetry. All music to my ears. Absolute amazing place.

Friendly staff and room was cleaned daily. Got a free upgrade to deluxe and it was amazingly spacious for a family of 4. The view from the room and the Stargate restaurant was beautiful! Hotel location was convenient, it was very close to the kansai airport and premium outlet.

Dinner had so many vegan dishes and they were delicious. Breakfast was smaller but still filling. It won't be a western breakfast. The futon ended up being comfy and warm but the halls were cold in the morning. I suggest arriving at the start of check in to take full advantage of everything there is (enjoying the pond, onsen, tea in room while reading the info on ceremonies). Location was great for the big 3 sites, if you don't mind walk 20 minutes in either direction.

Perfect stay. The monks are super friendly even if they don’t speak english. The food is good and very traditional and the rooms are great. Spacious tatami style, loved it so much I regret not staying longer. They even give you a flashlight if you want to explore at night. The placement is perfectly fine.

Great experience. Very clean and comfortable room and all. Great service and very helpful. Amazing ceremony and explanation of the details and the way to meditation. Food very very good. I will never forget this stay.
