AustraliaIt is the best local experience you can have at a rural town. I am an asian coming to Japan for my honeymoon and I can say please come here of you want a quiet and lovely experience of japanese true local culture. The owner build this place by himself and is obsess over birds. So he always offers a morning hike to do some bird watching and have a lovely overview on top of the hill over the town(free of charge). This is the true local onsen experience too:)
Also, the room is bigger than it looks. That's great for baggage.
