It was a repurposed and renovated primary school! The space was extremely unique and unlike many places I’ve ever stayed at.

The hosts and staff were amazing. It was clean and very comfortable. They also helped plan so many activities which were unique and soul fulfilling. It’s also very central but if you need you can grab one of their bikes to get around.

Bear Foot東町 is a delightful place to stay if you're exploring southern Hokkaido. You can also visit Umemura Garden, a peaceful green space nearby. For scenic views, Funkawan Bay Panorama Park is about 12 km away and offers stunning coastal landscapes. The area around Bear Foot東町 is well-served with local eateries and shops. The nearby Yakumo shopping street also has cozy restaurants and cafes where we enjoy local dishes.

Ski resort on the doorstep. Very clean and friendly helpful staff. Good onsen free use for guests.
