It's a little far off Nuwara Eliya, so if you're looking for a calm, quiet place where you can see the mountains while having a cup of tea, that's the right place. Chaminda was super friendly and always helpful. We had a very good time.

A newly built cute little family owned place. The mom and son are new to hosting guests and were very dedicated to making us feel comfortable. They welcomed us with tea and cake. They were very sweet and the place was comfortable. It is very conveniently located close to a tea estate. 10 minutes walk to the railway station and a 15-minute leisurely walk to Nanu Oya Falls. The place is also away from the touristy area and so you get an authentic view into the daily life of locals. The locals were also very friendly, and everyone would smile and wave. The mom got up very early next morning to make us a cup of tea and see us off as we were boarding the first train to Colombo.

Thank you for your wonderful hospitality during our stay at Grounders River Cabin. The staff went out of their way to look after us and decorated the room with rose petals and love hearts for our honeymoon. The dinner was lovely, authentic Sri Lankan style and the room was clean, we had all we needed. We had the most perfect view of the river below and the constant sound of the river made for a wonderful sleep. Special thanks to the wonderful owner for taking us to the train station in the morning!

The interior of the place was amazing as the place was somewhat of a modern wood home. The staff are also amazing as they were eager to help us and were super friendly. The dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations and is one of if not the best food we had ever try. 100% recommend
