The villa is well laid out with all required facilities. It's clean and tidy. The owner was there to receive us and to handover the property. He is very plesent, friendly and corporative. We had full prevacy, comfort and all the freedom. The most liked pat was that the owner allowed our pet dog Labrador to stay with us. Our Labrador was the most enjoyed and thrilled out of all of us, as the dog enjoyed the garden freely by playing and jumping in to the pond in front of the property. The facilities are luxurious and entire property is equipped to satisfy our full expectations.

Our stay at the Rainforest Nest was amazing. The hosts are the kindest persons, and always smiling. Saman is a great guide, thanks to him we saw a lot of endemic animals! We definitely recommend going on a rainforest tour with him. His wife is an awesome cook. We loved their food and the couple was very accommodating. My sister and I loved our stay at Evergreen Villa! It’s the perfect place to explore Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The family and staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. We used the villa as a base for our activities in the forest, which we booked directly through them. We did an evening/night walk—an experience we highly recommend—and two day-treks in the jungle to spot wildlife and admire waterfalls. Our guide, Mr. Ruan, was simply exceptional—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a breathtaking view of the river and forest, along with a lovely private patio—perfect for relaxing. We also enjoyed vegan meals prepared by the family at their restaurant. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time with the wild dogs roaming the property, especially a mother with her three playful pups—they truly added to the experience! After our morning excursion in the jungle, the owner kindly allowed us to do a late check-out and take a shower before leaving—something we truly appreciated. We highly recommend Evergreen Villa for its excellent location, warm hospitality, and unforgettable nature experiences!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sinharaja Vini Villa. The location is beautiful next to the river and close to Sinharaja Forrest reserve. It's so peaceful, nice place to relax. The hosts are such a lovely family, very welcoming. All the family are involved in running the homestay. We also had dinner there, the portions are generous, and also beautiful fresh fruit juices. To walk in Sinharaja forest you need a guide as paths are not clearly marked, our host arranged a guide for the day hike, and was very kind as we arrived back late (we took ages with taking photos) and we were able to shower and freshen up, and had complimentary fruit juice before our onward journey. Our shoes got really muddy, and our host kindly washed them, and dried them for us. Also the accommodation can arrange you transport with good safe drivers. Would certainly recommend staying there, especially if you love a quiet time, nature and Forrest.

The stay was super nice because the room/cabin I had felt like my own apartment and it was perfect to be so close to nature and do the day trips to Sinharaja forest (which the host organized for me) and everything was cared for like a lunch pack and super delicious dinner on request- and great food every morning anyways:)) all of the people working at Sinharaja rest were so kind and helpful! Unrelated to the host, just about the experience in the immediate area: The area around is like a village, then town with paddy fields and everyday life happening, no jungle, that’s only when you enter the Sinharaja reserve with a guide. But that’s the case for all stays in that area.

Where to start? Hemal is such a such a kind guy and the best host you can imagine. It’s a new hotel so I was happy to be the first client. The hotel is at the entrance of the park and besides the great and spacious rooms as well as great food made by his wife, Hemal is an awesome forst guide that spots animals from a distance away! I did both the night tour seeing loris, scorpions, deer and snakes etc. (be silent while he’s spotting) as well as day tour with a.o. endangered monkeys and a beautiful waterfall. Also, from the terraces you can spot a lot of peacocks and other birds in the front of the stay. He also helped me arrange a taxi a good price back. 200% worth the visit!
