Helpful hosts and wonderful location to stay. You can just sit in the terrace and watch nature go by. I extended my stay for 2 more nights. You can walk to the town with scenary views in 15-20min or host can take you with tuktuk. Good food.

Mr Kalhara is very kind and thoughtful, it was pleasant to stay in his house! Breakfast was very good! Room is super clean. Big bed , clean bedclothes, normally working ac and fan, good hot water! Best recommendations, just book and stay here if it's possible🙂

Jeewa, Masha, and Oleena made our stay wonderful. Their homestay is lovely, jungle vibes. The room is spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is delicious, and Masha's dinner is very tasty. Jeewaa was always giving us advice and helping us to decide what to do around. We went on a safari with a guide that he recommended, and apart from being cheaper than other places, the guide was also very knowledgeable and professional. We wanted to do some Ayurvedic spa treatments, and we found other places quite expensive, but Jeewaa recommended us a local Ayurvedic centre, and the place was half the price then other places and it was SO GOOD! Our kids had the best time, Oleena (the couples' daughter) was always so friendly and playing with our kids. Our kids ended up joining the neighbourhood kids' gang. We had the most wonderful stay if one day we come back to Sri Lanka, we would definitely go back to Oleena's homestay. Jeewaa, Masha and Oleena, thank you so much.

They’re super warming and welcoming, Leo figured out to organise an Ayurvedic spa last minute for both of us and even drove us to the place. The breakfast and dinner were very good as well. We had a great stay at Visu Villa. Ruwan is a great host who is very kind and helpful. He showed us nice places around Habarana and told us more about the way of live. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. Also the pool is nice and refreshing. We can recommend the elephant safari. It was beautiful and they go when it is not so busy. The workers who did the safari with us even made an aftervideo. We totally recommend Visu Villa!

Beautiful room with an equally beautiful ensuite bathroom (with hot water). Great location: town center still within walking distance but far enough to not get any city noises at all. Instead surrounded by lush greenery. The host and his family are very kind and super helpful: he fetched me with his tuk tuk from the train when I arrived, brought me to the bus station when I left, and drove me to Sigiriya, Dambulle and Polonnaruwa for a fair price. Also organized a safari to the local national park. The best was his wife's meals: The breakfasts but especially the home-made dinners were mouthwateringly delicious! Highly recommend you eat her home-made food as much as you can. The WiFi was good as well. I don't give 10 point reviews easily but this place highly deserves it. When you come to Habarana, stay here!
