Breakfast was exceptional and included, the evening meal was outstanding, order your drinks so they have them in, our preference is bottled Lion beer and ginger beer shandy, refreshing in the heat I read other peoples reviews and I had to include this homestay in our trip, Hungama doesn't attract the usual tourist but it was quite convenient to Yala and easy to access Bundala national parks. Our host, Sagara, took an hour out of his day to walk with us which was interesting and informative..

The location and the property itself is outstanding. It’s located in a dense jungle area off the normal road but it’s magical once you get there. Hearing the waves crashing all day long along with the birds chirping is so soothing and serene. You literally feel like you’re in a rainforest. The breakfast was good as well, they offer few set menu options which you can choose from.

One of the best experiences in Sri lanka trip within 3 weeks. Amazing place, not only appartment but all Rekava. Definately one of the most underrated places in Sri lanka. If you are in doubts - you definately should go there. Peace, silence, nature, ocean, turtles, amazing people - this is Rekava. Lookout lodge is excelent accomodation - new house, all clean and comfy, perfect location near the beach and turtle watch center. Good restaurant nearby (reccomended by Chami). Excelent breakfast and peacefull conversations with owner. We felt like home there and all our wishes were fulfilled with smile. And - there is a pool now - we where the first users and it is great. Appriciated by our boys. Sorry that we booked just 2 nights there, would have liked to stay at least a couple more days. Aruni and the Blue Ocean resort team were amazing from start to finish. We booked the ocean view room and it was so stunning that we decided to stay for a month. During that month, we got help from Aruni with booking lagoon tours, setting up a trip to both the safari parks that were nearby and a lot of other things. Whenever we needed tuktuks she would go out of her way to arrange it for us. One time I had to take a sick stray dog to the vet and she arranged everything with the vet and tuktuk to take me there, she even fed him and now he is there often and it was very sweet and she really did not have to do that. I cannot recommend Blue Ocean enough to anyone thinking about staying here. The beach is quiet and huge, there is so much wildlife nearby and there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Whenever we wanted to eat at the resort we would ask her in advance for some fish, lobsters and shrimp. On our last day they even had bbq which was very tasty. Thank you Blue Ocean team. We will definitely be back! And we already miss the two (now three haha) dogs Brownie, Emma and Cheese ball :D

of all the places we have visited,this is the most beautiful, peaceful, perfect villa. The view from the room was so tremendous. Everything is awesome. Staff is very efficient and friendly and the faciliities are in mint condition. Special mention is the pool which is maintained to the perfection. Food is best in the area and the menu contains a lot of variety of different dishes. We wish we could have stayed longer!
